After reading Love Like on a Silver Screen , I remembered that I had read a fic of powergrapes before that I also liked so much. Sometimes I just forget what I’ve read 😵‍💫. That’s also really bizarre. I now use my own blog as a reference of what I have read and which made me very happy 😂. And that includes this one!

So, Bizarre Love Triangle . It’s a good title for this fanfic because I know I found it all quite bizarre indeed. Ok, I’ll stop using the word bizarre now 😆. Because what happens: Kara and Lena meet in the subway. Lena has just been dumped and Kara is of course so sweet to want to cheer up a total stranger 🥰. They soon become friends after that.

Kara turns out to have a friend who is abroad for work. That happens often, and he’s figured it’s okay to have sex with others while they’re apart. That’s good because Lena and Kara decide to start a no-strings relationship. Just sex with your best friend, nothing to worry about 😏. However, Kara’s sister Alex thinks it’s a bad idea from the start. There is a good example of this in the summary of the fic:

“Kara. This is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done. And I’m including the time that you set fire to your own hair and nearly burned the house down trying to do some spell you found on MySpace to make Troy Bolton materialize in real life and marry you.”

Kara and Lena have the best time 🔥🔥and spend as much time together as possible, including outside the bedroom. Actually, it couldn’t be better. Until Kara’s friend suddenly shows up again🙄.

The story then becomes that one word I wouldn’t use anymore. That friend is annoying and manipulative to me 🤬. Oh and Kara is of course so sweet and loyal. Annoyingly so. It’s impossible for her to see that he isn’t all that nice and would be much better off choosing Lena. Something Lena and Kara’s friends have known for a long time.

One of the best ‘ friends with benefits ‘ fics I’ve read. I take the boyfriend with a grain of salt. He is part of the story. And of course everything will be fine in the end and Kara and Lena are “endgame” as it should be 😇.
