Angel Fire – Gerri Hill

Angel Fire - Gerri Hill - lesbian thriller
Available at Bella Books or Gerri Hill

If you’ve read the Tori Hunter trilogy and then Devil’s Rock and Hell’s HighwayAngel Fire is a logical next in the series. I waited quite a while to read this book. The others were so good, and I was a little worried that I wouldn’t enjoy seeing so many characters, who are all really cool, together. But Gerri Hill solved that very well. And I’m glad I overcame my apprehension😏.

Befriended couples Tori and Sam and Casey and Leslie go on holiday in a campervan. Apparently the ladies can never get some rest and again their vacation is interrupted by work. They meet Cameron and Andrea while passing through New Mexico. A manhunt is underway for a life-threatening murderer.

The killer turns out to be an ex-colleague of Cameron when she was still working for Special Ops. So he knows very well how to avoid the police and FBI. After an attack on the RV site, he also kidnaps Sam. Tori is going crazy and wants to chase after him like mad. But this killer is too cunning and any sense of threat will surely kill Sam. Cameron therefore leads the chase, she knows how to do this undetected.

Cameron and Tori are constantly bothering each other because Tori wants her to hurry up and save Sam. Andrea manages to calm things down and slowly Tori’s respect and trust for Cameron grows. Meanwhile, a special bond develops between the kidnapper and Sam. This gives the story an unexpected turn.

Compared to the other books in the series, Angel Fire was different than I thought. It was very nice that Sam got a lead role. I actually missed her later in the Tori Hunter trilogy . And the banging between Cameron and Tori was beautiful too. Of course there is also room for love here. Wonderful how Gerri Hill describes the deep love between Cameron and Andrea and Tori and Sam ❤️.
